The school girls of Siliguri Model School under Bharat Raksha Parv organised by Jagran Prakashan Group visited SSB Campus at Ranidanga where they tied Rakhis (sacred thread) to SSB officers and jawans.
The Dy Inspector General Siliguri Frontier Shri D K Sinha has said this festival symbolizes the sister’s love and prayer for her brother’s well-being. The editor of Dainik Jagran, Shri Gopal Ojha thanked SSB for cooperation in order to celebrate the Raksha Bandhan festival. Hundreds of Rakhis have been provided by Jagran Group and to be distributed among jawans deployed upto the BOPs on Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders. The officers of SSB Siliguri Frontier Headquarters, Sector Headquarters Ranidanga, 41st battalion Ranidanga, Frontier Training Centre Ranidanga were also present on the occasion.
