Chief
minister Mamata Banerjee is scheduled to come to north Bengal next week
for a three-day stay in Kalimpong. She is expected to reach Kalimpong
on September 20 to take part in the foundation day programmes of the
Tamang and Lepcha development boards. Darjeeling district magistrate
Anurag Srivastav today confirmed the chief minister's impending visit.
He said, "The official itinerary of the
chief minister as of now is that she will be attending the foundation
day programme of the Tamang board on September 21. The next day, she
will be present for the Lepcha development board programme and leave for
Kolkata on September 23."
The Tamang board is organising its
second foundation day function at Ronalsay Park Ground while the Lepcha
programme will be held at the Dr. Grahams Homes area.(EOI)
