former chief minister Shri Bhandari to be taken to Delhi for better treatment/CM Chamling Declares Sikkim Ratna Awards

Gangtok, August 14/snowline: The health condition of former Chief Minister Nar Bahadur Bhandari is stable and a team of doctors under the heart specialist Dr. Kumar Bhandari is observing an treating him, Dr. Uma Pradhan, the Chief Midical officer of Sir Tashi Namgyal Hospital said when asked by the media persons. Shri Bhandari was admitted in the  in STNM hospital following the sudden complication in his health soon after he has been send to Rongay jail after the court convicted him on the CBI case on August 10.
Although, no hospital bulletin is released so far, it is stated  that Shri Bhandari is suffering from heart problem and diabetics. Dr. Kumar Bhandari completed his medical check up and advised him for complete rest, it is learnt. Meanwhile, his well wishers are visiting him in the hospital. Shri N.B. Khatiwara, the former MLA and a renown politician, Former Minister T. Lachungpa and  others  visited him in the hospital. Soon after visiting him, Shri Khatiwara expressed his concern about the condition of the health of former Chief Minister and alleged that  proper medical care has not been provided to him.

Sikkim/Gangtok, August 14:According to a report, Chief Minister Pawan Chamling has said that the ailing former chief minister Shri Bhandari will taken to Delhi for better treatment after the appeal in the court on August 16th by the govenment. He was speaking to the peole after inauguration of administrative centre at Martam, Gezing-Burmoik constituency, West Sikkim on August 13.
Chief Minister Chamling futher said that the former Chief Minister Bhandari is not only a prominent political leader in the State, but he knows him personally too and he said that he will visit him in the hospital personally. His health condition is not improving, so he needs better treatment out the State, he added.
The administrative block is constructed by Rural Management and Development at the cost of Rs. 1.8 crores and it is 29th.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pawan Chamling declared Sikkim Ratna Awards in various field like literature, sports, social work etc. instituted by Government of Sikkim which will be given annually. The awards carry two lakhs Rupees, citation and mementos, he added.This year, he said, the awards will be given on September 16, 2011.
