Gorkhaland is my dream, Shaking of hands doesn’t mean all is well - Chattrey Subba

Mukesh Sharma Kalimpong, January 31: After his tour to ‘meet old friends’ GLO president Chattrey Subba has returned to Kalimpong. In an interaction with the reporters Subba said the old lines, which
he has been always in the forefront for Gorkhaland. “I have a deep love for Gorkhaland”.When asked about the meeting with GJM chief Bimal Gurung Subba said that “I do not need leaders, what I need is the people” adding more he said that his tour was basically to meet the people.When he agitated for Gorkhaland he was not moved by any political parties nor by leaders said Subba in clear words. "my commitment to the cause of Gorkhaland has not changed” quoted Subba.The tour has given him insight on the thoughts and feelings of the people for Gorkhaland and he also said that his future course of action will solely depend on the support that he receives from them.  “What I need is the love and support for Gorkhaland from the people, I really don’t care about the political parties” said Chattrey Subba. Adding more he pointed that the political parties should not to play with the feeling of the people and give negative assurance about Gorkhaland. Speaking on his controversial meeting with the GJM chief he said that shaking of hands does not mean all is well.Also speaking on the formation of a new party, Subba did not make it clear but assured that people will come to know about it very soon. “I am not disturbing any party, but if any party comes in my way to Gorkhaland, they should be prepared for the consequences” he added. The people should support the one who fights for the deprived identity of the people, concluded Subba.
