Kalimpong: BSNL offers to set up co-op for staffs

Kalimpong|Mukesh Sharma: Considering the long unsolved grievances of the staffs of the Janmukti Karmachari Sangathan BSNL Sector, a meeting was held at the office of the Deputy Labour Commissioner TT Bhutia.The meeting had the presence of the representatives of the Unit, Janmukti Karmachari Sangathan Publicity Secretary Hem Chandra Subba, Vice President Hari Darnal, BSNL, General Manager A Dhaka, Kumar Kausal.The staffs listing their 10 demands informed the arrear pending for the last 6 months, payment of salary on time and the other important demands were placed.After the meeting the President of the worker Unit said that it ended fruitful where maximum of the demands were accepted. The pending of the arrears will be released in the next month and the salary will be disbursed on time to the respective bank accounts he informed. He also added that the meeting decided to provide extra funds working on State holidays.
