Karateka gold medalist Sushan Thapa to represent India at Srilanka

The Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Deputy Chief Col Ramesh Alley today congratulated and wished the gold medalist Sushan Thapa with luck ahead, as he will be representing India in the upcomming International Karate Championship to be held at Srilanka.He also read out the appreciation letter sent by Bhutan Karate Do Association to the GTA Chief Bimal Gurung and said that it is a proud moment for the Gorkhas and has brought fame to the Gorkhaland region. Alley also promised to establish a Karate Association under the GTA and the mini sports academy will also be soon constructed he said.Gold medalist Sushan said that the Internationlal competetion was held on 25-26 of September where he won the gold in the Open Senior Men category. The competetion was partipated by 120 participants from India, Nepak and Bhutan. The championship was organised by the Bhutan Karate Do Association, which is affiliated to the Bhutan Olympic Committee.
