A inter school spell bee competetion was held today at the library hall of the Rockvale Academy in Kalimpong. The competition was organized by the All Head of Listed ICSE Schools where 17 schools participated out of the 30 schools in Darjeeling Districts. Nisha Chettri of Rockvale clinched the first position followed by Bethany school of Kurseong and Gyan Uday school of Darjeeling in third. The Principal of the Mt Harmon School Sabrina Sodemba was present as the chief guest on the day.
Addressing the occasion, the Principal of the Rockvale Academy Cap PM Pradhan said that the students are today influenced by the modern learning techniques. This kind of the competition will enable the students to turn the pages of the dictionary, which will strengthen their vocabulary he added.
