GJM Vice President, Kalyan Dewan denounces oppositions’ statements

The GJM’s fight is with the state and the centre, not with the local counterparts”, said the GJM Vice President, Kalyan Dewan today, denouncing all the statements delivered by the opposition parties against the GJM President, Bimal Gurung. it may be mentioned here that the oppositions were criticizing the GJM head because of the attitude of the centre and the state. The oppositions are also commenting on Gurung’s statement of dropping GTA.“The work of the oppositions is just to disparage and they do not have any programmes”, said Dewan and added that every person has the right to criticize. But, the public knows everything. Lastly, alleging the oppositions of misleading the public he appealed them to deliver facts.

Agriculture Deptt to aid farmers- Dewan

The Gorkhaland Territorial Administration agriculture department sabhasad Kalyan Dewan acknowledged the fact that the loans taken by the Kalimpong Krishak Kalyan Sangathan during the time of the agitation have to be relaxed. The farmers apart from the agitation were also hit by the natural calamities he added. The KKKS also has to approach the department as the department stands for the issues and problems of the farmers. The Sangathan has to check that the loans taken by the farmers were properly utilized or not.  Dewan also assured of all possible help from the department to better the living standard of the farmers.
