PAKS submits memorandum against BDO Bimalindu Das

Chotay Lal Prasad, the president of Parvathya Apang Kalyan Sangathan (PAKS)
Nobody raised their bows when Chotay Lal Prasad, the president of Parvathya Apang Kalyan Sangathan (PAKS) threatened to collect rations and cloths from PAKS and give it to the Block Development Officer-block 1 on 19th May after sticking the walls with posters in Thana Dara.

Today the president along with few other handicapped people visited SDO office to submit a memorandum, written against the block officer.

‘We have sent a memorandum to the District magistrate through SDO which is against Bimalindu Das, we have written that he should be removed from the hills immediately’ said Prasad adding that the disabled have been frequently underestimated by the officer.

The president further said that they expect to be understood by the (any) officers for their disability and have demanded for a better officer who can support disadvantaged people. PAKS have also notified the DM about the thorough probe of the GR dealer who defrauds with the beneficiaries of the handicaps.

Prasad also complains that the BDO sits mum despite the frequent request of an investigation in the GR shops.

However the posters stuck on the areal route on 19th last month accurately read ‘if the BDO cannot distribute relief and rations meant for us, we will collect rations from ourselves and give it to him.’ These words will certainly draw a solution for the members of PAKS.

Speaking to this reporter on the same context, Prasad said that they have scheduled a small event where the BDO will be invited to receive rations and cloths collected from the members of Parvathya Apang Kalyan Sangathan on Friday (this week).

The SDO was coincidentally not available to listen to their complain and Julfigar Ali, the Deputy Magistrate took care of the matter and assured them to put the same to the notice of the higher authority.
