Janmutki Morcha has decided to “campaign” from tomorrow in restaurants,
bars, hotels and cyber cafés to discourage minors from drinking and
booking hotel rooms on their own.
The decision was
taken following the murder of 18-year- old Nima Tamang allegedly by a
16-year-old here on Thursday. Narayan Pradhan, the secretary of the
Morcha’s town committee, said: “The town committee has decided to start a
campaign in restaurants bars, hotels and also cyber cafes from tomorrow
to ensure that minors do not hang out in these joints drinking.”
Pradhan also said
they had decided to bring the cyber cafes under the scanner as minors
were bunking classes to play video games in the cafes.
