Rumor spreads - Mahendra P Lama might support to GJM backed BJP candidate

Ambiguous political environment took over Pokhraybong-Nagari region following the rumor saying that independent candidate Mahendra P Lama fighting the elections under the banner of DDUDF might be extending an implicit support to the GJM backed BJP candidate spread here. DDUDF regional convener Santosh Bantawa affirmed rumors adding that the supporters have approached him and co-convener Sambhu Tamang seeking clarifications. He said it will be wrong to consider such rumors about Lama, who has lifted himself “above politics to guarantee political security” to the people. He asserted these rumors are being spread to mislead the people and urged the supporters not to fall into such pits. Bantawa further said “anti-socials annoyed by the declarations made by Lama” are behind such rumors.
In the meantime, GJM today held an election campaign meeting at Evengram Pulbazaar under the chairmanship of regional unit president Durga Prasad Gurung. Addressing the meeting held at local playground the speakers urged the people to vote for Morcha supported BJP candidate SS Ahluwalia on April 17 enabling him win with a large margin. They said once the BJP comes to power in Delhi the way to Gorkhaland will pave out. (EOIC)
