Maoists call for 48-hr bandh in Bengal, Orissa and Bihar


Chansarpur, Mar 12 : The Maoists today called for a 48-hour bandh in West Bengal, Bihar and Orissa on March 13 to protest the killing of their leader Sasadhar Mahato.




Maoists' state committee member Akash told UNI that the shutdown would be organised to protest the killing of Sasadhar allegedly in a fake encounter. He also termed it as the "cold-blooded murder" committed by the state.


Meanwhile, police said Combined Forces conducted a combing operation in Kalaimuri forest near Salboni last night on getting information that another top Maoist leader had taken shelter there.
