Cardamom auction in Rangpo | Large cardamom price shows decline

Rangpo.Sanjay Agarwal: Large cardamom price showed declining trend in the month of December and January caused suspension of large cardamom auction in Rangpo being conducted by NERAMAC limited. The large cardamom growers were reluctant to sale their produce due to sudden decline in the price and in other hand the leading dealers were also in distress estimating huge loss on their earlier purchased products.after the festival of maker sankaranti price started increasing due to several reasons and  traders cum producers where seen slightly happy  by seeing the market and on the request of exporters ,importers ,large cardamom dealers and producers  the  NERAMAC  has decided to organised this season third cum this Year first auction   on 1^st februry12 at Rangpo spices board  office .in previous days and month it was  observed that the quantity imported from Nepal was comparatively less  from previous year .though there was good flow of large cardamom supply  from arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland  this year which now get decreased  and march onwards supply from this two state is suspected to be nil. This caused some demands in the country market .so price is believed to be not decrease till the end of the march 2012.
