ALPHA THAPA:Darjeeling 21 January: Two dead bodies were found inside a hotel room in Meghma NX Hotel at Gandhi road today. The bodies were insanely stabbed, thought to be a sharp weapon. Bodies have been identified as of Mohammad Mustafa and Sandeep Rai. Both of them were the staffs of hotel. Mohammad Mustafa (35) from Islampur was working as a waiter, while Sandeep Rai (26) from 3 Mile was the assistant manager of the hotel. Police reached the incident site at around 11 o’clock in the morning. “It is a murder as both of them have steeping injuries, mainly on the back part stabbed by a sharp weapon”, Additional S.P. Kunal Agarwal said. The murder was done in room no. 102, which was later found locked from outside. “Since two days there were no guests at the hotel. At the time of murder only two staffs were here. Both had been stabbed to death”, claimed hotel manager.A.S.P. Agarwal said investigation is going on and the dead bodies were sent for post-mortems.Earlier, few murders happened in Darjeeling. After that, town has been divided into six zones. Two constables were deployed for each of the zone. “We will deploy more police force for patrolling”, assured A.S.P Kunal Agarwal.
