Kalimpong, January 21: Dawa Pakhrin, Ex-GNLF leader and presently President of Gorkha Rajya Nirman Morcha demanded formation of a separate district for Kalimpong Subdivision before the implementation of GTA. Kalimpong is big subdivision so it is the need of the hour to upgrade it as a district Pakhrin said. He further demanded the formation of several new blocks and up gradation of blocks to subdivision and subdivision to District. Wide postering was also done in Kalimpong in support of the demand. The possibility of formation of SRC after the UP assembly election is quite evident so all supporters of separate statehood of Gorkhaland must unite and be alert for starting a new agitation, Pakhrin stated addressing a press conference.
