The founder and frontman of German rock band Scorpions, Rudolf Schenker rocked Sikkim like a hurricane earlier this week, and Bollywood was happy to be swept away.
Schenker, who arrived in India last week with wife Tatjana, played a charity soccer match in Gangtok’s Paljor Stadium.
It also saw actor Rahul Bose, footballer Baichung Bhutia and international field stars in action. Schenker also jammed before the play began.
Actor Neha Dhupia, who met the rocker there, says, “We all got along well. It’s not the last meeting ... he is my favourite now that I’ve seen him play. His talent is incredible. He loves India and is coming back soon.”
The rock star was also part of an auction.
“His generosity at the auction we held for earthquake victims was amazing, so is his knowledge of Indian food, films and yoga.”
