Kalimpong|Mukesh: After the successful meeting held in Kolkata recently regarding the re initiation of the Regional SSC, the interview process to regularize 279 Adhoc teachers through SSC has been started. Putting forward his views on the same the Akhil Bharatiya Gorkha League (ABGL) General Secretary, Pratap Khati also an advocate by profession said that the Adhoc teachers should not be recruited through Regional SSC because it is against the rules and regulations of Adhoc for the age and other criteria come on its way.
Further, he acquainted that an order was passed by the Kolkata High Court in 2012 under WP No 19997 which says that all the Adhoc teachers are appointed by the schools because there are vacant positions and many of the Adhoc teachers who had filed a case against it are already regularized. The High Court had ordered that Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council (DGHC) Education Secretary to regularize the teachers after going through the reports. Therefore, when the High Court has already declared the decision then why do the Adhoc teachers need to sit for the SSC interview? Is the Morcha defying the decision of the High Court by conducting the interview? Khati questioned. The ABGL lastly demanded the appointment of the Adhoc teachers according to the decision.
