CM should understand the grief of the Gorkhas - Dawa Pakhrin

Kalimpong|Mukesh Sharma: The Gorkha Rashtriya Nirman Morcha (GRNM), Kalimpong President Dawa Pakhrin expressing his contentment said that people from various parts of the hills are approaching the GRNM in regard to Gorkhaland. Informing about the memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister by the Gorkhaland Task Force (GTF) opposing the Shyamal Committee report, he mentioned that the they have clearly demanded that they want Gorkhaland. Further, he said that the Shyamal Committee report is blocking the way of Gorkhaland formation. By only recommending 5 mouzas they are trying to show that the Gorkhas are a minor Community.Saying that the CM should understand the grief of the Gorkhas he added that the division of West Bengal will not hamper the Bengali Community for it has produced great men like Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda and the to be President, Pranab Mukherjee.Lastly, he added that whoever struggles for Gorkhaland, they shall be supported wholeheartedly by the GRNM. “We should remain united and need to learn from Telengana,” he concluded.
