KOLKATA, 12 JULY: Calcutta University has withheld the results of 52 BEd
examinees as an inquiry is going on against the private college from
which they took the exam. “We received a complaint that the college did
not conduct the examination according to our rules. The complaint was
found to be true, prima facie. An inquiry has been initiated. Unless we
get the report, we will not publish the result of their students,” said
Prof. Suranjan Das, Vice-Chancellor of CU. But the students will not
suffer, the V-C said, adding that the college authorities, if found
guilty in the investigation will be penalised.
Another 294 students did not get their results as their registration was incomplete, said Prof. Das. Today, the result of the BEd examination was published. More than 90 per cent of students scored first class, while the overall pass percentage was 96.74
