Mukesh Sharma: On the eve of Bhasha Manyata Diwas, the Saptashri Gyanpeeth today organized the Bhasha Diwas and a felicitation programme during which poetess Remika Thapa presided over as the chief guest along with the Director of Saptashri Gyanpeeth, Tapan Kumar Pradhan.Linguist Hari Chettri speaking on the occasion said that the young generations find Nepali language tough, this is something which needs to be looked upon seriously. For this the grammar needs to be made easier for the young to be interested in the language. He also added that most of the students who secure more numbers in the Nepali subject during their boards are mostly non Nepalis. Why is it so? This is something which needs to be pondered upon. The Saptashri family also felicitated Remika Thapa for her contribution in the field of literature. Also during the programme, 25 students who secured 1st division on the ICSC Board examinations and 45 students in the ISC were felicitated.Students of the school recited their self composed poems during the poetry recitation. Yuvraj Niroula of Class7, Sonia Sherpa of Class8 and Elishiva Lepcha of Class10 were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively. the judges during the competiton were, poets Manoj Bogati, Moti Prasad Sharma and linguist Hari Chettri.
