Forest conservation Programme organised by Botany Department of Kalimpong College

The Botany Department under the Kalimpong College today organised a programme on the forest conservation, which was organised by the NBU. DR Eshan, Siyon Rai, Arbind Goyal, Subarna Tagore, Dr Jai Shree Pradhan were present as the resource persons of the day.The day discussed on the varieties of the medicinal plants found in the Hills and their curative importance, the basic prerequisites such as water, temperature etc. The resource persons educated the gathering on the conservation and the preservation of the assests and focused on the plants, which are on the verge of extinction in the Hills.
