Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) celebrates its 5th Foundation day

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) today celebrated its 5th Foundation Day with much pomp and gaiety in the hills. Similarly, Kalimpong too, witnessed its grand celebrations at the GJM Party office. The celebrations set off by the GTA Sabhasad Kalyan Dewan hoisting the Morcha flag at the office. The Kalimpong GJM Sub Divisional Committee President, Sarita Rai offered garland at the portrait Mahatma Gandhi followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp.The GTS Sabhasads, Ward Councilors and GJM workers who were present at large also offered prayers to the departed soul of Bharat Gurung, father of the GJM Chief Bimal Gurung who recently passed away. 2 minutes silence was conducted remembering the dead soul.The GTA Sabhasad Kalpana Tamang credited the public for what the Morcha has achieved till date. She also pledged that the Morcha shall continue working for the betterment of the people of the region.
