As an attraction to the tourists and to bring in more tourists in Pedong, the Pine Tree Festival 2012 shall kick start from October 21 which will prolong till November. The member of the organizing committee of the fest, Sarita Rai, Binod Pradhan and Palden Bhutia today informed that the main attractions of the programmes will be cultural programme, flower exhibition, food festival, arts and crafts exhibition, horse riding, paragliding, bike stunts, etc. Apart from these, an inter school cultural dance competition along with inter school traditional fashion show, musical evenings, etc. will also be held, they added. Singers, Prakriti Giri from the hills, Shreya Sotang from Kathmandu and Urgen Lama Cultural Band will be performing and on the closing day Indian Oil singer, Kapil Thapa, Khemraj Gurung, Deep Shrestha, etc will be performing. Lastly, the organizers have appealed everyone to be a part of the forthcoming fest.
