The Volleyball team of SUMI under the leadership of its Coach Sudip Pradhan today left for Kolkata to partake in the Inter District U-19 National Volleyball Championship. The team will be representing GTA in the said championship to be held at Beliaghatta, Central Kolkata from November 06, 2012 onwards. The team is also accompanied by Assistant Coach, Pem Lama and Manager Pragyan Mitra.It may be noted that the SUMI Volleyball team is the state champion of 2007 and 3 of its players have also played in National championships representing West Bengal.The team before leaving was delivered best wishes by the GTA Deputy Chief, Col. Ramesh Aaley. The SUMI Vice Principal, Zion Lepcha conducted a short prayer service.
