The Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP) will be working seriously taking 3 issues. The issues include the problems and tyranny faced by the Gorkhas in the north eastern states, demand for Gorkhaland and a demand for a Gorkha Channel through the Doordarshan. This was announced by the BGP National Secretary, Prabhakar Dewan on Friday. He also informed that the programmes of the BGP will be carried forward after January 23.“We are not against anybody, we are instead a non political organization”, said Dewan and added that Gorkhaland is not only a political demand but also a constitutional one and this is the reason why, the BGP is taking up this issue.He also said that the BGP is always with those individuals and political parties who are in favor of Gorkhaland.“We want to bring all the political parties in one platform who are voicing for Gorkhaland. The Gorkhaland Task Force (GTF) is already working towards this”, said Dewan.Lastly, appealing the public’s support for BGP, he said that if everyone stands united and voices for Gorkhaland, then the government will hear it.
