Yusuf Simick says Gorkhas in India have come from Nepal and other places - Morcha criticized

Yusuf Simick’s statement published in a vernacular daily on February 13, 2013 has been highly criticized by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM). Simick had said that the Gorkhas in India have come from Nepal and other places. The Morcha central committee joint secretary, Binay Tamang today condemned the statement. He demanded that Simick and his organization should explain the statement and should clarify that whether it is Simick’s personal thought or of the organization as a whole. Tamang said that such kinds of statements hamper the hill’s community at large.“Simick should prove on what grounds he delivered the statement”, said Tamang.The Yuva Morcha also conducted postering at various places of Kalimpong asking explanation to the statement.
