Mamata’s separatist statement condemned

During her Doars tour, the WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had stated that any kind of separatist movement will not be tolerated by her. The statement now remains condemned by most of the political parties and organizations in the hills. The Communist Party of Revolutionary Marxist (CPRM) Kalimpong sub divisional committee secretary Mohan Poudyal, criticizing the statement, questioned “Who is the CM to question the agitation?” .He reiterated that Gorkhaland is a constitutional demand which should not be labeled as ‘separatist’ movement. He alleged the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of violating the Indian constitution and also of harassing and exploiting the Gorkhas.
