NHPC working towards up-gradation of Rambi BHPC

Teesta Low Dam Project Stage-III, Rambi has taken up an initiative of up-gradation of Primary Health Centre (PHC) and Maternity Health Centre (MHC) in the rural areas of the Darjeeling Hills and in the Project vicinity area under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project ‘Dhanwantari’.In a function held on 23rd March, 2013, R.K. Verma, General Manager, Teesta Low Dam Projects, NHPC Limited handed over an Oxygenator and an Autoclave to Rambi Block PHC. The Oxygenator will facilitate oxygen supply to the patients in the absence of oxygen cylinders and the Autoclave will enable all types of blood tests. These machines will help the local masses of Rambi, Reang, Lohapool and other adjoining villages as all sort of major blood tests shall be conducted at Rambi BPHC.Teesta Low Dam Project Stage-III, Rambi shall also organize the training of operating the Autoclave, where engineers will impart training to pathologists and doctors of Rambi, BPHC in operating the Autoclave.Verma, also held a prolonged discussions with the doctors of Rambi, BPHC for taking-up steps to upgrade the Rambi, BPHC for the benefit of the local masses of Rambi, Reang, Lohapool and other adjoining villages.
