Sikkim girl Shivani Subba cracks JEE 2013
Sikkim girl Shivani Subba has secured third position in the All India Ranking (reserved category of Scheduled Tribe) in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) – 2013.

JEE is an All India common entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering courses like B. Tech, B.E, B. Arch and B. Planning under the direction of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

The exam was held in April earlier this year.

According to the official website, 14 lakh students had appeared in the exam held across country.

“I am very happy that I have cleared the first hurdle to get admission in the college of my choice, now I want to pursue my studies in Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi,” the 17 years old Shivani said while talking to SIKKIM EXPRESS.

She was the second school topper at Holy Cross School obtaining 95.6 percent in PCM in the CBSE board.

Daughter of civil engineer Rajiv and Hemlata Subba, Shivani she has a younger brother. “She was a hardworking student and was taking intensive coaching both for the JEE and the board examination,” tutor of Brilliant Coaching Sunil Chaudhary said
