10 mobile videography teams to check copying in Madhyamik exam

Students writing Madhyamik Examination 2014
Kolkata, 20 February: The West Bengal Board of Secondary  Education (WBBSE) has decided to post 10 mobile videography teams in each district to minimise the incidents of cheating.
The decision has been taken after the state witnessed massive cheating in the Madhyamik examination centres last year.
In 2013, mass cheating had been reported in various districts and the state government has set up an administrative high power committee headed by the district magistrate in each districts to monitor the Madhyamik examination.
Allegations have been levelled against the invigilators that they were bribed by some close associates of the students, who supplied question papers at various centres in the Islampur sub-division of north Bengal. Reports have come from at least two schools in Islampur ~ Dharampur High School and Srikrishnapur High School ~ and 43 people were arrested a week ago across the area for helping students cheat. Complaints of mass cheating have come from various districts especially from Karondighi, Islampur, Goyalpokhor and Chakulia of North Dinajpur as well as Kaliachak block and Harish Chandrapur block of Malda.
