The
West Bengal Higher Secondary Examinations 2014 will commence from
Wednesday, March 12. The Siliguri police administration has made every
arrangement to ensure a peaceful passage of the board exams.
Siliguri SDO Deepa Priya and officials of the higher secondary education board are busy making the necessary arrangements. The SDO also presided over a meeting with BDOs of four blocks under the Siliguri sub-division, medical teams, exam coordinators and officials of the Naxalbari, Kharibari, Phansidewa and Bidhannagar police stations including that of the Siliguri Commissionerate. Besides, sensitive exam centres have been identified and placed under special vigilance.
The SDO said Siliguri sub-division has been classified into nine circles where 14,987 students will appear this year in 31 venues. Seven venues have been marked as sensitive. Act 144 under the Indian Penal Code will be imposed on those venues while all photocopy shops in the area will remain closed, added Deepa Priya.(EOIC)
