GJM holds meetings across Kalimpong for BJP candidate SS Ahluwalia

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha(GJM) today organised public meetings at various places under Kalimpong, keeping with its campaign for BJP candidate SS Ahluwalia. A campaign meeting was held here at Melli community hall under the chairmanship of GTA sabhashad Kajim Tshering Bhutia and zonal president Bikki Subba, where sub-divisional committee secretary Kumar Chamling and party central committee leader Moti Prasad Sharma were also present. The speakers urged to vote for Ahluwalia and appealed to the people to avoid falling prey to the TMC’s ploy of dividing the Gorkha community by voting for the BJP candidate.
Another GJM meeting was held at Seedfarm, which lies in the vicinity of town. Kalimpong MLA and GJM spokesperson Dr. Harka Bahadur Chettri, Col. Ramesh Allay, Nima Tamang, Suvh Pradhan, Tara Lohar Lepcha and other leaders addressed the meeting. They urged people to vote for Ahluwalia as he is an able candidate and also a pro-Gorkhaland activist. They claimed Ahluwalia’s victory can alone pave the way towards statehood. Several other meetings were also held at the unit and zonal levels across the sub-division.(EOIC)
