In the wake of recent earthquake in Nepal, students of Jadavpur University organised a street programme to raise funds for the victims on Monday. The students reached out to people on the streets of Jadavpur.
They sang, shouted slogans and did their bit to grab attention of the pedestarians at Jadavpur 8B bus stand, Jadavpur Coffe House and Station Road area. "We were able to collect Rs, 35,000 for the victims.
We also donated seven to eight bags of dry food items. From auto-rickshaw drivers to domestic helpers and office-goers, everyone extended their support to the victims," said Subhodip Pan, a Jadavpur University student.
