Mukesh Sharma, Kalimpong: Arun Rai (30) of Dante Kalimpong Brother in law of a 15 yr old girl was arrested by Kalimpong police after the 15 yr old gave a birth to a child. According to sources sister in law a resident of South Sikkim was sent by her parents to her Brother in law house at Dante Kalimpong for higher studies along with her small brother last year. She Passed her class 7 exams in 2014 but did not attend the school this year due to pregnancy. She was forced by her brother in law who warned all the family member not to lick the entire scenario but when the girl was admitted to hospital and after she gave a birth to a child the entire episode was exposed. The mother of the victim is from Sikkim Namchi area who filed a complaint against Arun Rai after which Kalimpong police arrested him and today booked him under section 4 and 8 of the POCSO Act 2012. He was forwarded to Kalimpong court today.
