CPM kalimpong burns low quality ration in front of Food and Supplies office

Tired of administrative apathy towards the hill people, CPI(M) hills yesterday protested against the abysmally low quality of ration being distributed in the hills, by burning them in front of the Food and Supplies office in Kalimpong.

Speaking to the press, CPI(M) leader Mr. Tara Sundas said, "despite the fact that we have highlighted the poor and rotten quality of ration distributed in the hills, the administration and Bengal government has continued to ignore our plight... so we had to protest against this apathy and discrimination."

He added that the District Food officials were working in cahoots with the distributors and supplying low grade ration in the hills.(Via TDC)
