Two
Gangtok residents died in a road accident today on the East-West
Highway at Mirchaiya-6 municipality of Siraha District in Nepal. Payal
Agarwal (33) and Bindiya Gurung (30) were travelling to Kathmandu in a
bus from Kakarvitta and their vehicle collided with a truck in the wee
hours today killing the two on the spot and injuring 13 others.
Payal Agarwal was an active social worker based in Sikkim and Bindiya Gurung ran the Mayalmu Sangh shelter for the homeless in Gangtok. (EOIC)
