Colombia hits Poland 3-0 goals to stay in knockout race
Goals from Yerry Mina, Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado gave Colombia a convincing 3-0 win against Poland, who were eliminated from contention at the World Cup before their last Group H match. Japan and Senegal, who both picked up wins in their first games, drew 2-2 earlier on Sunday and are in a battle with Colombia to qualify for the knockout stage.

James Rodriguez released a low pass from half-way line and found the charging Cuadrado, who ran into the penalty areawith the ball and shot it past Poland keeper Szczesny.

Juan Quintero with the assist, produced a perfect low pass from the middle of the pitch and found Falcao. The striker controlled it and shot it into the net.

66' - Throw-in for Poland near the Colombia box. It was as expected a long throw-in into Colombia box and found Robert Lewandowski, but his header hit the face of defender Davinson Sanchez.

56' - Juan Quintero, on a counter-attack, attempted from the edge of the Poland box. The ball deflected out and Colombia won a corner, which was cleared comfortably

49' - The long throw-in found Robert Lewandowski in the Colombia box, but the striker headed it wide of the goal

Colombia centre back Yerry Mina headed in a pinpoint cross from James Rodriguez in the 40th minute to give his side a 1-0 lead at halftime. With Japan and Senegal, who both picked up wins in their first matches, drawing 2-2 earlier on Sunday, Poland are staring at elimination from the finals before their last group game.

47' - Most of the Colombian moves are coming from the right flank with Juan Cuadrado leading the attack

40' - GOAL! Yerry Mina put Colombia in the lead

James Rodriguez with the assist, he chipped the ball into the Poland goal mouth from the right and Mina jumped high to head it into the net. It all started from the corner, which Colombia took as a short one.

37' - Wojciech Szczesny then punched out the delivery from resultant corner. Colombia becoming more and more threatening as the match progresses

36' - Brilliant run from Juan Cuadrado from the right of the box. He dodged couple of Polish defenders but his shot was palmed out by Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny

33' - Juan Cuadrado won a corner for Colombia. Cleared out by Poland comfortably

31' - Substitution! Forced change for Colombia. Abel Aguilar is stretchered out and is replaced by Mateus Uribe

28' - The cross-in from the right towards Falcao was headed out by Poland defender. Colombia coming up with regular attack on Poland box
