Another soldier has been martyred while
protecting the country. Lance Naik Sandeep Thapa, a resident of Rajawala
(Sahaspur), Dehradun, has been martyred in the shelling by the
Pakistani Army in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and
Kashmir. He was stationed in the Third Gorkha Rifles.
Since the removal of Article 370 from
Jammu and Kashmir by the Government of India, there is a nefarious act
by the neighboring country of Pakistan. This has increased the stress on
LAC. Meanwhile, the army soldier Sandeep Thapa kept on his duty and
laid down his life while protecting the country. The dead body of the
martyred soldier is likely to reach his ancestral home by Sunday. The
martyr will be cremated with military honors after the last darshan at
the residence.
According to the information received,
the Gorkha Rifles soldier Sandeep Thapa was presently posted in Nowshera
sector of Rajouri. Around 6.30 am on Saturday morning, the Pakistan
Army violated the ceasefire and opened heavy fire on the border and
fired mortars. The Indian Army also gave a befitting reply and destroyed
a post by the Pakistan Army. Lance Naik Sandeep Thapa was seriously
injured in the unprovoked shelling by the Pak Army. The injured jawan
was admitted to the nearest army hospital for treatment, where he died
during treatment. The dead body of the martyr is likely to reach his
ancestral home by Sunday.
