(From Voice of Sikkim)15 Feb, Rangpo: World Tamang Youth Society strongly condemns the heinous act by Police at Sibsu, Doors killing Gorkhaland supporters and injuring many. Central Government should find some solution to this problem, as the government of West Bengal is doing nothing for the Nepalese of Darjeeling districts. Gorkhaland is indeed a genuine demand by the Gorkhas of not only Darjeeling but Gorkhas all around from India. Suresh K. Lama, Coordinator (India) Tamang Youth Society, speaks out for the rights of Gorkhas as a whole. He further said that all the Tamang Youths of Sikkim highly appreciates if the Congress government does the solution on giving separate statehood to Darjeeling. The rights of Gorkhas of Darjeeling are taking away by West Bengal government; in every step West Bengal government is interrupting on getting separate state. Central Government should be serious on this matter, undermining the Gorkhas who had always died for own country India when in need is really a big questions. Tamang Youths of Sikkim has appeal to the Government of India to settle this issue as soon as possible. Tamang Youth Society salutes all the supporters who laid their lives for the Gorkhaland. In the state it is informed Sikkim Tamang Youths highly supports Gorkhaland cause and always there to contribute morally or by any means.
