Siliguri, Apr 5 : Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said the tripartite talks on Gorkhaland issue would resume after West Bengal Assembly polls.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Mukherjee said, " The issue of Gorkhaland will be sorted out through tripartite talks and the Centre will play a pro-active role in this regard as it was done during the formation of Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council (DGHC) in 1988." The Union Finance Minister said the talks would be held among the Centre, the state government and political parties.
Mr Mukherjee, who has been in North Bengal for the past two days, left for Delhi tonight.
