Mountaineers felicitated for scaling Kanchenjunga

Kolkata, May 31: The West Bengal Government felicitated Prasanta Singha Roy and Debasish Biswas for scaling Kanchenjunga earlier this month.
Both mountaineers, who visited Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at her chamber in the state secretariat - Writers' Buildings - were felicitated with flower bouquets.

Later speaking to mediapersons, Ms Banerjee said, ''We congratulate the duo for their stupendous achievement and wish them many more success in future and good health. '' Incidentally, the mountaineers hailing from Krishnagar had also scaled Mt Everest about two years ago.
