STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruitment on the post of Scientific Assistant in Meteorological Department. Recruitment Details:

Name of the post: Scientific Assistant
Total no. of vacancy: 465
Post Reservation: Gen-230, OBC-128, SC-70 and ST-37 and Horizontal reservation for OH-10 and HH-10.
Pay Scale: (PB-2), Rs. 9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200/-
Eligibility Criteria:
a) Limit of Age (as on 28th October 2011): should be not above than 30 years
Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST by 05 years, OBC by 03 years and any other reserved category candidates by as per central Government rules.
b) Essential Educational Qualifications (as on 28th October 2011): The candidates, interested to apply for this recruitment must have Bachelor Degree in Science with Physics as one of the subject / Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications / Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from recognized University or Institution or its equivalent.

Mode of Payment: Through State Bank of India (SBI) Challan OR using online payment facility of SBI.

The candidates can submit their application through online process only. For filling up online application form, firstly the candidate should visit official website of SSC and follow the instructions. All the required details in part-I and part-II registration should be supplied carefully by the candidate.

Selection Process:

Selection of the candidates for appointment on the post of Scientific Assistant in Meteorological department will be based on a written examination followed by Interview.
