St. Joseph School Mungpoo celebrated its 2nd Annual concert 2011
St. Joseph's School, Mungpoo celebrated its 2nd Annual concert 2011 which was held on 15th and 16th of November.15th for the parents and the chief guest was Mr. C.B Thapa, Manager, Govt. of Cinchona Plantation and the guest of honour was K.B Yonzon.16th for the neighbouring Schools and the chief guest was Mr. Ratan Lama, chief Secretary of Mungpoo zone, GJMM.The guest of honour were Rev. father Van,The founder of St. Joseph's School, Mungpoo, Mr. Prakash Chandra Rai, Headmaster of Sarada High School, Mr. Bishal Rai, Principal of Green Mountain English School, Smt. Neela Rai, Principal of Siddhartha Memorial School, Mr. Buddha Kumar Thapa and Mr. Sashibhusan Rai.
The theme of the Concert was "HEAL THE WORLD". Today, the greed of mankind has left them with no choice but to surrender their lives.In the recent days, the people around the world have been facing the disastarious natural and manmade calamities. far and wide people have become homeless and face the dearth of lives.So, to awaken the inner eye and to make our better tomorrow, the student of Class VII and Class VIII dedicated the theme song "HEAL THE WORLD" to the people who have suffered in the recent Earthquake or collapse of Bridge in Bijanbari, Darjeeling giving the message "SAVE ENVIRONMENT' with their Playcards.
The entire programme was led by the M.C Nawarchana Tamang and Aditya Thapa of Class VIII which was based on variety of dances and songs.The student of each Class came out with their innate qualities hidden in them in form of Nepali folk dance, revival of the 80's and 90's retro, contemporary and the blogbaster Dabang style.The playing of the Drums by Class V student and the rhythm of the Lead guitar played by the Class VIII student rocked the stage.Guest artist from the Singmari Church, Darjeeling was like cherry toping on the icing of St. Joseph's concert.
The programme end with the lively song "I AM ALIVE" by the Class VIII girls followed by the vote of thanks from the Principal Rev. Father John Banerjee.The hard work of the students and the co-operative work of the Principal and Staffs gave the Annual concert 2011, a blissful ending.
