GJM attends All party meets over liquor tragedy in West Bengal

In West bengal , an All Party meeting was held on Monday at the call of the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Mr. Biman Bandyopadhyay on the recent liquor tragedy in the South 24 Parganas district of the state.

AIR correspondent reports, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr. Partha Chatterjee had blamed the CPI(M) for the hooch tragedy. Since Mr. Partha Chatterjee stuck to his position on the issue, the CPI(M) staged a walkout from the meeting.

Later talking to newspersons the Speaker Biman Bandyopadhyay said that, Congress, SUCI, Gorkha Janamukti Morcha and Trinamul Congress discussed many important aspects of the issue, which will be sent to the Chief Minister Miss Mamata Banerjee for perusal.

The leader of the opposition Mr. Suryakanta Mishra while talking to newspersons alleged that, the Trinamul Congress is trying to shield the guilty. He also alleged that, the ruling party is trying to influence the CID probe into the matter.
