Hissey Lachungpa as the SDF candidate for sole Rajya Sabha from Sikkim

Gangtok, Jan 23 :PTI: Former minister and three-time MLA from North Sikkim, Hissey Lachungpa, today filed his nomination as the SDF candidate for the sole Rajya Sabha seat from Sikkim. Lachungpa filed his nomination with the Returning Officer, Secretary, Sikkim Legislative Assembly, D Rinchen after his name was officially announced as the SDF candidate. Lachungpa, who was the Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, had resigned from the post. Today was the last date for the filing of nomination papers and he had received only one nomination, Rinchen said. Scrutiny will be held on January 21 January. January 23 is the last date for the withdrawal.
