Missing minor girl Miss. Aarti Pradhan (name changed) 15 years of age from Darjeeling was recovered due to the combined efforts of police, investigating agencies and NGOs. Aarti was found by a team of Central Bureau of Investigation officers (CBI) in New Delhi on 22nd February 2012.
Aarti had gone missing from Darjeeling and her parents had lodged a missing complain at the local police station. Mankind in Action for Rural Growth (MARG) an NGO working in Darjeeling hills of North Bengal, igniting smiles of individuals through its sponsorship programmes on education and its efforts to combat Human Trafficking also worked actively. Apart from MARG, ARZ, Darjeeling Police and CBI also came together within time which lead to the recovery of the minor girl. Since the girl is a minor she will produced before Child Welfare Committee (CWC) members New Delhi for further course of action and rehabilitation.
