Is Ghising above the law of the country ? - Dr Harka Bahadur Chettri

Kalimpong|Mukesh Sharma: A sense of bitterness among the GJM central committee members was questioned by some of the newspapers when they had no meeting after the GJM delegation met chief minister Mamata Banerjee at Kolkata recently.Answering to the reporter on the same the GJM spokesperson also the MLA Kalimpong Dr Harka Bahadur Chettri today said that neither the press/media questioned the central committee nor the central committee talked about it to the media. But some of them have been formulating judgments, its good sometimes to provide with suggestion and to criticize but they must realize it’s tuff to have talks with the government. “The central committee meeting on coming June 24 will think on the matter” said Dr Chettri. On questioning about the Calcutta High Court order to the GJM asking the legality of setting up the GTA, Dr Chettri said that the GTA has been the consequences of the State and the Central government, the bill after passing from the State Bidhan Sabha was consented by the President of India. It took 11 tripartite meetings and 6 months of the clearance from the law it was last year in 17 July the bill got passed after been crossing many legal barrier.  Is Subash Ghising who has been challenging the bills is above the legal institution in the country questioned Dr Chettri. And if it happens to be a case than the State and the Centre will be answerable who has made the law not the GJM said Dr. Chettri. The outcome of the High Power Committee reports makes us feel that it was the ordinary people who made the report not the legal intellectuals said Dr Chettri. “No comments” whispered Dr Chettri when asked about the blame being leveled against the study forum on accepting the GTA.
