BC Roy football tournament - SUMI enters final

Kalimpong|Mukesh Sharma: The SUM Institute of Kalimpong has once again one step away from creating history as it has entered the finals thrashing the Sukcher High School, North 24 Paragana in the semi-finals of the ongoing BC Roy Memorial football tournament being played at the Bidan Nagar Sports Complex Ground at Kolkata. The SUMI earlier has also won the tournament in 1966, 1967 and 2008 and has also represented Bengal in the national level football tournament like that of the Subrata cup. Likewise in 2005, 2009 and 2011 the SUMI has remained the runners-ups in the tournament.The semi-final today remained goalless in the 90 stipulated minutes. The game when advanced to the tie breakers, SUMI won over the Sukcher High School by 4-2. The Chief Coach of the team Ganesh Dahal and the Manager Pragyan Mitra informed that the final will be played against Moujpur Bharati Bidha Bhawan, Hooghly at the Salt Lake on Friday.
