Kalimpong|Mukesh Sharma: Keeping in mind the traffic caused by the vehicles along with the people crossing the road, the Kalimpong Traffic Police has started to make a Zebra crossing at the main four way crossing/ junction of Damber Chowk. The Traffic OC, Prabin Gurung informing about the same said that even Tunibotey, Thana Dara and several other places will be getting a Zebra crossing. The roads are flooded with people especially during the School and office hours and also during the days of Haat. During these hours/ days, most of the people are seen rushing to get to their destination, and in the series to do so they try passing in between the rushing vehicles further leading to the risks of accidents. Hence in order to lower the risks of accidents and also keeping in mind the safety of the public, for the 1st time Zebra crossing is being made in Kalimpong town.
