The son of the hills, Karma Sherpa, after making his mark in the Zee TV, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2010, has set sailed on his musical journey. His very first musical album, ‘Karmaa’ is out on the market since last week. Made by Nepal’s renowned ‘Namaste Entertainment’, the album has a total of 9 tracks. One of the tracks titled, ‘Kanchi Mattyang’ seems to be earning quite a name and has been repeatedly being shown in most of the TV channels of Nepal.
Earlier, Sherpa, a resident of Sonada, used to sing at hotel in Siliguri. But after being the 2nd runner up of Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and then reaching the finale of the Zee TV, Sa Ra Ga Ma Pa, Sherpa never looked back. After Prashant Tamang winning the Indian Idol, Sherpa became the 2nd son of the hills who became successful at a national level.
After the singing reality show, Sherpa also got the chance of performing at concerts at Hong Kong, Singapore, Israel, America, Bhutan, etc. He has also done playback singing in the Nepali movies namely, ‘Andaaz’ and ‘Biteka Pal’.
His newly released album is the fruit of his hard work. Sherpa with his beautiful voice and a calm nature has in recent times not only brought accolades for himself but for the hills and the nation, too.
